KiddyGo

Privacy notice

Last updated: 8 September 2026

KiddyGo helps families find places to go with their children. This notice explains what the KiddyGo app and this website do with data — and, just as importantly, what they don't.

The short version

  • No accounts, no login. You can use the whole app without telling us who you are.
  • Location is used only while the app is open, only if you allow it, and only to sort places by distance. It isn't stored.
  • Favourites stay on your phone. They never reach our servers.
  • No analytics, no advertising SDKs, no third-party trackers.

What the app does with data

The KiddyGo mobile app works as an anonymous directory of places. This is everything it touches:

Location — only while in use, only with permission

If you grant the location permission, the app reads your position while you are using it so it can order nearby places by distance. It is used for that calculation in the moment: it is not saved, not attached to any profile, and not shared. If you decline the permission the app still works — the list simply isn't sorted by distance. You can change or withdraw the permission at any time in your device settings.

Directory queries

The places, categories and photos you see come from our database, hosted on Supabase. Like any internet request, each query carries technical data — IP address, timestamp and the request itself — which appears in server logs and is used to run the service and detect abuse. Those logs aren't used to build profiles of users.

Favourites

Places you save are stored on your device using the app's local storage (AsyncStorage). They are not sent to us or to anyone else, we hold no copy, and they disappear when you uninstall the app.

No accounts

The app has no sign-up and no login, so we hold no names, emails, passwords or contact details for the people who use it.

No tracking

The app carries no analytics tools, advertising networks, attribution SDKs or third-party trackers. Nothing is used for advertising, and nothing is sold or shared with data brokers.

What we don't collect

  • Names, email addresses or phone numbers of app users.
  • Location history, or location in the background.
  • Contacts, photos, calendar, microphone or camera.
  • Advertising identifiers (IDFA) or any cross-app tracking.
  • Any information about children — the app is made for the adults who take them out.

What this website does with data

This site is the public home of the same project, and handles a little more than the app:

Waiting list

If you enter your email in the waiting-list form, we store it in our database (Supabase) for one purpose: to let you know when KiddyGo launches in your area. We ask for nothing else, and you can have it deleted at any time by writing to the address below.

Language cookie

The site stores a cookie (NEXT_LOCALE) to remember the language you picked. It is strictly necessary to serve the site in your language and is never used for tracking or advertising.

Server logs

Our hosting provider records the usual technical data for each visit — IP address, browser, pages requested, timestamp — so the site can be delivered and kept secure.

Partner area

Businesses that list a place sign in to a private dashboard with an email and password. Those credentials and the listing details are processed only to manage the listings.

  • Consent — the location permission in the app, and joining the waiting list. Both can be withdrawn at any time.
  • Legitimate interest — keeping the service running, secure and free from abuse (server logs).
  • Contract — managing the accounts and listings of partner businesses.

Who else is involved

We don't sell data and we don't share it for advertising. A small number of providers process data on our instructions:

  • Supabase — the database, file storage and server functions behind the app and this site.
  • Our hosting provider — serving this website.

These providers may process data outside your country. Where that happens, transfers rely on the safeguards allowed by data protection law, such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

How long things are kept

  • Location: not stored — used only in the moment.
  • Favourites: on your device, until you remove them or uninstall the app.
  • Waiting-list email: until KiddyGo launches in your area and we've told you, or until you ask us to delete it — whichever comes first.
  • Server logs: a short period, for security and diagnostics.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of your data, or to correct it, delete it, restrict or object to its use, or move it elsewhere — and you can withdraw any consent you've given.

Write to fr.kiddygo@gmail.com and we'll reply within one month. Since the app holds no account, there may be no data we can link to you; if that's the case we'll say so.

If you think we've handled your data badly, you can also complain to the data protection authority in your country.

Children

KiddyGo is about places for children, but it is built for the adults who take them there — parents, carers and families. The app is not directed at children, has no accounts, and collects no information about them.

Changes to this notice

If what KiddyGo does with data changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top. Anything significant will be flagged in the app or on the site.
